BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
Hillside Children's Center is recruiting for relief Behavioral Support Professionals to work in partnership with the CiTi Stepping Stones Day Treatment program located in Fulton, NY. District Data Coordinator- -

The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi) is currently looking to fill a full-time probationary appointment for a District Data Coordinator.  The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker who can balance the technical aspects of educational data with the ability to make data accessible and meaningful to educators.

The successful candidate will:

  • Coordinate and transmit CiTi BOCES educational data to New York State
  • Have a working knowledge of the current NYSED reporting requirements
  • Define internal best practices to ensure data integrity, including creation of data verification protocols
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal data team meetings and protocols to pursue data driven decision making
  • Act as a liaison between CiTi BOCES and the Level 1 data center
  • Be responsible for the integrity of alignment with state codes for state and federal reporting
  • Direct and assist in data analysis activities and instructional technology initiatives
  • Complete data-driven reports for CiTi BOCES (Civil Rights; BOCES Report Card, etc)
  • Provide technical assistance for the student information system in district and assist personnel with SIRS as needed
  • Provide assistance to component districts with data systems as needed.
  • Manages curriculum and assessment data exchange between school district and software vendors
  • Coordinates and oversees student information systems (Supports and troubleshoots Student Information System Needs of multiple departments)
  • Assists with student record management
  • Provides technical training for district staff and administrators.
  • Facilitates grant initiatives for CiTi BOCES and regionally, inclusive of data and application processes

Qualifications: 

  • Master's Degree in an educational or data-related field (CAS desired, but not required)
  • Prior experience with School Information Systems (SIS) and Student Information Repository Systems (SIRS)
  • Working knowledge of the operations of a school and state reporting requirements is essential  
  • Strong technical skills 
  • Ability to prioritize, manage and meet project deadlines
  • Experience with planning, designing and maintaining large databases
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to conduct training and informational meetings
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently in solving problems. 

Salary Commensurate with experience: $80,000+

  • Secondary Special Education Teacher - P-TECH Program -

    The Oswego County P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) program is a regional high school located on the campus of CiTi BOCES in Mexico, NY and Onondaga Community College. Students in the program simultaneously earn a high school Regents Diploma and an industry recognized Associate Degree from OCC. The 5-6-year sequence emphasizes work-place experiences, industry mentorship, authentic work-based challenges, job shadowing, internships, and project-based learning rooted in real world experiences.     The P-TECH program is seeking interested applicants to fill an anticipated vacancy working with students in grades 9-12 for a probationary, full-time Special Education position. Students with Disabilities 7-12 Generalist certification required. Additional content specific certification is preferred.

  • Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor - Adult Education -

    The clinical instructor will be responsible for the day to day management of clinical supervision at either a long-term care facility or on a hospital Medical-Surgical floor. RN with BSN or BS with a major in Nursing preferred; AAS in Nursing accepted. NYS Registered Professional Nursing License required with two years experience in the acute care or long-term care settings. 

    This part-time position will be days starting in September.

    The pay is $32.71/hr.

    The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi BOCES) has an opening for a high school Public Safety & Justice teacher beginning 9/1/2021.  This opening is in the Career & Technical Education program. The successful candidate must possess or be willing and able to obtain a NYS Professional Teaching Certificate in Security Operations grades 7-12, Public Services (Public Security, Communications Media, Fire Science or Police Science), Fire Prevention and Control or Emergency and Fire Management Services. Additional industry certifications may also be considered (NYS Fire Instructor, EMS Certified Instructor). Background knowledge preferred in the following areas: forensic science, public and private security, civil and criminal law, corrections, Homeland Security, CPR, First Aid, volunteer and/or professional firefighting, and volunteer and/or professional EMT experience.  This is a full-time, 10-month teaching position that follows the CiTi BOCES school calendar.  NYS Teacher Retirement benefits are included.

This opening is in the Career & Technical Education Department. The successful applicant must hold or be willing to obtain a NYS Teaching certification.  Registered Nurse license is required along with a minimum of two years' experience in geriatric care.   • High School Equivalency Instructor -

    This part-time position provides instruction in adult basic education (pre-9th grade) and adult secondary education (post 9th grade) to help adult students earn a high school equivalency (HSE) diploma.

    Instructor should expect to deliver small group and individualized instruction to a multi-leveled class of adult learners in the following content areas: English, math, science, and social studies. Ability to work with ESL students is a plus.

    Instructor is responsible for maintaining classroom attendance, student retention, and building positive healthy relationships with the adult learner.                                                                                                                                        

    • Utilize the ASISTS database daily to keep abreast on post-testing and assessment needs/trends for students enrolled in the class.
    • Teachers must attend a minimum of 12 staff development hours annually by Employment Preparation Education (EPE) guidelines and participate in the orientation course with Central Southern Tier RAEN.

    Requirements: Bachelor's degree in education or related field. A minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching preferred. ESOL preferred.

  • HVAC Instructor -

    The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation Adult Education Department has an opening for a full time HVAC Instructor. The instructor will guide the classroom and lab learning experiences for the students preparing to be entry-level HVAC Technicians. The HVAC program is a newly established program. Candidate must have high school diploma or GED, five years verifiable industry experience within the last ten years. Must be certified or licensed where required by law. Associate degree in related field is desirable. Prior experience teaching and/or experience with training employees within the industry is desired. Demonstration of highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all aspects, including appearance, demeanor, and attitude. Ability to work in an observation/coaching style environment.

    Pay rate is $30.00/hr.

  • Audiologist -

    The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi BOCES) is looking for a full-time Educational Audiologist to serve students within the Northern Oswego County and Jefferson-Lewis BOCES region. Educational Audiologists perform services related to diagnosing, managing, and treating hearing and balance problems in order to ensure that students have access to the educational environment. Other duties involve participation on multi-disciplinary teams and Committees for Special Education for individual students, providing evidence for needed services and HAT technology, monitoring personal hearing instruments, recommending, fitting and managing HAT devices.

    This is a Civil Service Position within CiTi BOCES and candidates must meet Civil Service requirements.
